7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

As I do every week, I will be playing music selected to start your day on the bright side. My Featured Artist at 8 this morning is the Scissor Sisters (pic right) , the American pop rock band formed in 2000 who won three BRIT Awards in 2005.

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Chris looks at ‘This Day in Music History’ and “Business Matters” returns which provides news of the UK economy during the past week. Chris will also let you know what’s happening locally together with information of events in the surrounding area. There’ll be lots of great music to enjoy as well.

11am – 12noon This Week with penny

n this week’s show Penny will be covering the current flood and road closure situation in Eastbury. She will also be talking to Lis Allen (pic right) about her upcoming event, Talking Bollocks – yes you heard that right, in Hungerford. This entertaining and enlightening evening with Lis will help you feel and be more confident when communicating with friends, family and colleagues.

12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing Show with Chris Carter Brennan

Join Chris Carter Brennan when he takes a look at what’s been happening in the world of racing in the past week and he’ll also review the weekends fixtures at Kempton and Warwick

12.30pm – 1.30pm Classical Gas with Chris Booth

Did you know that Classical music continued to be written throughout the 20th century and into the 21st?

This week’s Classical Gas features a range of well known ‘modern’ or ‘contemporary’ classical music tunes from Prokofiev to Gershwin, together with the stories behind them. 

This show was first broadcast in May 2023

 

1.30pm – 3.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On this week’s Face2Face, Tim and Linda meet up and chat with  4 Legs presenter Pat Heslop (pic right), who now lives in Devon. They sample a new book giving the origin of some everyday phrases and they look at the inventions which caught the eye at this year’s CES show.
