He sadly passed away last Friday and was was last of the truely great crooners. Even Frank Sinatra was quoted as saying “For my money Tony Bennett is the best singer in the business. He gets across what the composer had in mind, and probably a little more”.

On today’s show Chris speaks with Lambourn Racehorse Trainer Clive Cox (pic right) to ask how the season’s going so far. There’s also the usual “Business Matters” slot and Brian Quinn provides the latest local news and events information in “What’s New Mr Q” Plus there will of course be be some Chris’s favourite tunes. This week Penny catches up with Mike Bowden from Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership which continues its incredible aid supply to Ukraine. This week SHAP has sent 100 tonnes of aid in 5 trucks including 200 pallets of hygiene wipes, hospital beds, mattresses and generator.

12noon - 12.30pm The Downlands Racing Show with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan

It’s another fantastic weekend’s racing which includes the Group 1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Qipo Stakes at Ascot. Will the popular locally trained horse Pyledriver pick up the very valuable prize?
