9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
On this week’s Yabber Yabber Chris will be joined by Mark Summer (pic right) Last September, Mark Summer and a group of friends tried to complete the three peaks challenge to raise funds for “The Berkshire MS Therapy Centre” and to raise awareness of people living with a disability. Sadly, due to four weather warnings on the last mountain (Snowdon), they were unable to complete. But they went back to Snowdon last weekend to complete the challenge and Mark recollects their wonderful achievement. Molly Hall will provide the latest update from the NAWT at Trindledown Farm and Brian Quinn will give his usual round of local news and events. Plus there will of course be music, some with a sunshine theme.
11am – 12noon This Week with Penny
This week Penny hears from Mike Bowden about Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership’s latest incredible donation to Ukraine. After months of preparation their team delivered a bus converted into a mobile medical unit (pic right) to the Ukrainian Ambassador at Westminster on Monday this week. On Tuesday Penny attended the first professional cricket match every played in Berkshire at Falkland Cricket Ground in Newbury and spoke to the fans and hosts Berkshire Cricket Foundation. And in the studio will be local nutritionist Sam Silvester to discuss what we should and shouldn’t be eating this season.
12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy
There’s fantastic flat racing action from Chester, Goodwood (pic), Haydock and York this weekend and 4LEGS racing pundits Pat Murphy and Chris Carter Brennan hope to find you a winner or two. Join them at 12 noon.
12.30pm – 1.30pm Old Wild Men with Max & Tobi
Tobi’s theme this week is ‘Love the Ladies’ and Max has his usual ‘stuff what I like.’ As well as some great tunes there’s plenty of banter between the Old Wild Men, and a few music questions which radio desk operator Chris get’s a chance to have a go at.
1.30pm – 2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt
The show needs no introduction so just enjoy an array of great music and the usual teasing questions from Mr Pop Quizzical himself Tim Stutt.
2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester
On Face2Face this week, Tim and Linda talk about the birds and the bees, review a trip to York, check out past events on May 26 and find the most popular type of sandwich across the years. Together with some great music, some of which you will know and some you won’t.
