7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

Join Pete at seven this Friday morning for more music selected to help you get going on the last working day of the week. Plus, his Featured Artist this week at 8 is Robert Plant, lead singer and songwriter with Led Zeppelin and more recently, winner of a Grammy Award for his album Raising Sand with Alison Krauss.

9am – 11am Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

Tim and Linda return to Face2Face in an early slot and talk about airports, Cape Town, a new sport called padel (see pic), formal revelries at the Palace, law abiding cows, dogs in need and the return of a chart topping singer from the 80s. All this and more, together with the usual mix of music.

 

11am – 12noon This Week with Penny

Another chance to listen to Penny talking to Penny is Dr Liz Bell (pic right), a Great Shefford villager since 1990, took five years away from the village from 1997 to 2002, to serve as a British diplomat in Russia. As First Secretary Science, she led a team of Russians at the British Council in Moscow as part of an international aid effort to help the Russians rebuild their country after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan

Join Pat and Chris when they’ll be previewing the 2-day race meeting at Cheltenham with the feature race on Saturday being the AIS December Gold Cup Handicap Chase. 

12.30pm – 2.30pm Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

It’s a late Yabber Yabber show this week and today’s guest is Kseniia Laremych who’s a musician that originates from Ukraine and she will be talking about the fundraising “Classics for Ukraine” concert taking place in Old Town Swindon on Saturday where musicians from Ukraine, England and France come together for an evening of classical music. (See poster and link to the event is below). Plus, Chris went along to Pheonix Enterprises 20th birthday celebration last week and took the opportunity to speak with some of the staff and clients about the wonderful work the charity has done since it started in 2002. There’s also a roundup of local news and events, national news items from the week and of course some great tunes which may include a few Christmas songs. Enjoy!

2.30pm - 3.30pm Old Wild Men with Max & Tobi

It’s a special Old Wild Men show when we find out more about presenters Max & Tobi from a recent interview with Chris Capel. They’ve been friends for many years and met through their work in Photography, where they crossed paths with many famous people. With stories to tell and some interesting song choices from Bach to Right Said Fred, it’s a great listen.
