9am – 11am This Week with Penny
This week Penny will be hosting a special Remembrance show featuring an interview with Margaret Leahy from Lambourn British Legion about the work they do to support service men, women and families, a tribute to the men listed on East Garston War Memorials by Dave Knight and Pete Penfold’s reading of the names on the war memorials of Lambourn.
Penny will also be talking to Andrew Melsom, director of Newbury Samaritans who himself comes from a familiy of service men and women, about the support they offer local residents and the training they offer their volunteers to support the armed forces and the different pressures they have to cope with.
11am – 12noon Middle Aged Musical Musings with Owen Killminster
Today’s show, previously broadcast earlier this year is dedicated to the female artists whose voices, performances songwriting and musicianship makes the world a better place to be, in a week when being reminded of good things is more important than ever.
12noon - 3pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester
(RECORDING STARTS AFTER SEVEN MINUTES) In a three hour Face2Face this week, Tim and Linda look at Remembrance Day and find out about its history. They feature an interview recorded by Pat and Tim three years ago when they chatted to veteran George Brown and, separately, they look at the newly discovered country Listenbourg, accents, favourite old cars and much more.
