9am – 12noon Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
Newbury based music duo Georgia Nash and Gareth McKeown known as “Nash and the Mac” (pic right) are the guests on Yabber Yabber. Chris caught up with them in the week to talk about their music, how they got together, their influences and aspirations for the future. They also played 3 songs during the interview for you to enjoy. There’s the usual round up of local news and events with Brian Quinn, and there’s some happier national news items from this week. All this and of course a mixture of great tunes. Enjoy!
12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan
There’s top class action at both Ascot and Newmarket on Saturday for Pat and Chris to tell you about which includes the Group 1 Royal Bahrain Sun Chariot stakes. Plus, they’ll look ahead to Sunday’s Qatar Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe at Longchamp in Paris where we’ll be hoping for a British winner in the race that’s worth over £4.5 million.
12.30pm – 1.30pm Old Wild Men with Max & Tobi
The Old Wild Men are back with another delve into some of their musical favourites coupled with some musical factoids. Tobi’s theme this week is ‘happiness’ and Max’s is simply ‘stuff he likes’. Artists include, The Beatles, Ry Cooder, Coldplay, Dolly Parton, The Hollies…and many more.

On this month’s gardening show, Linda snd Jane discuss climate change gardening, extending the season with greenhouse and cold frame planting, and preparing for Christmas.
2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester
On Face2Face this week, Tim and Linda find out about a printer that removes ink and check out two kings several hundred years apart. Plus the croupier who keeps on running and our first offering in a ‘ten greatest escapes’ feature. The music ranges from Randy Crawford to Elbow and lots more.
