To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Yabber Yabber is in 2 parts this week. There’ll be interviews from many people in the community, some famous Queens speeches and some great music from the 50’s to the current day. Enjoy!

11am – 12noon This Week with Penny Queen's Platinum Jubilee special

Penny interviews her aunt who recollects the day of the Queens Coronation and Freddie Tulloch joins Penny in the studio to talk about the East Garston Jubilee celebrations and stories when he met some of the Royal Family.

12noon - 12.45pm Downlands Racing Oaks & Derby preview with Pat Murphy and Chris Carter Brennan

Join Pat and Chris as they preview two of the World’s most famous classic horse races The Oaks and The Derby which take place at Epsom over the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend. Can they find you the winners? You’ll have to tune in to find out what they are selecting.

12.45pm – 1.45pm Middle Aged Musical Musings Queen's Jubilee Platinum special with Owen Killminster

To commemorate the Platinum Jubilee Owen will be playing music from the 10th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 40th, 50th and 60th anniversaries of the Queen’s reign. There’s some fantastic music from those periods.

1.45pm - 3.30 Part 2 of Yabber Yabber Queen's Platinum Jubilee special

In part 2 of Yabber Yabber there’s more local interviews, more famous Queens’ speeches and live reports from Denise Herrington at the Great Shefford Platinum Jubilee Cricket match. There’s also a recording from the lighting of the Platinum Jubilee beacon at Weston which took place on the Thursday evening

3.30pm - 4.30pm Old Wild Men Queen's Platinum Jubilee special with Max & Tobi

To celebrate this momentous occasion the Old Wild Men’s theme this week is ‘Royalty’ with all tunes having a reference to nobility in it’s title. There’s some great banter and stories from the boys with music from artists including: Handel, Aretha Franklin, Nick Lowe, Abba, Lorde, Chuck Berry, Vika & Linda, Gene Chandler and may more. It’s a great way to end our Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
