What’s On 2021-12-03

Here’s what’s on FABULOUS 4LEGS Radio

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

This week Pete’s featured band at 8 is The Beautiful South (pic right), a British band formed in 1998 that produced a string of successful singles and albums until they split in 2007.

Plus, music and new releases selected to start off your Friday from 7 to 9 in just the right mood. Don’t miss it!

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Great music including the first week of Christmas tunes. There’s local and national news items plus some details of events taking place in and around the West Berks area over the next few days. Enjoy!

11am – 12noon This Week with Penny

On This Week with Penny, Roy Bailey from Great Shefford takes a trip down memory lane, reliving his experience as a Mastermind finalist in 1988 (see pic right) which was challenging and thoroughly enjoyable, and produced a wealth of memorable experiences.

12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy

The feature race of the weekend is The Grade 1 Betfair Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown Park. No doubt both Pat and Chris will be looking at the runners and riders with their expert eyes to try and find the 4LEGS listeners the winner of the race. They’ll also preview some of the other key races over the weekend and look back at last Saturday’s Ladbroke Trophy Chase at Newbury

12.30pm – 1.30pm The Finance and Legal Christmas Show with Karen Salmon

It’s very much a Christmas themed show today. Karen will be joined in the studio with colleagues Peyton Matthews-Hewer (pic right) and Steve Perkins (pic below) when today’s topics will be Christmas after Divorce, Children and separated parents at Christmas, what you can and cannot charge back to the Company at Christmas plus some words of legal wisdom at this festive time. It’s also Good Divorce Week….apparently!

1.30pm – 2.30pm Classical Gas with Chris Booth

Another chance to listen to the previous Classical Gas show when Chris presents ‘Rock me Amadeus’ and will he be playing some well known music by the genius that is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On Face2Face this week, Linda and Tim try to work out the do’s and don’t’s of choosing a Christmas gift for your partner, find out just how London tube stations got their names and look back and forward at the good old red phone box. Plus plenty of music including a look at the soaring appeal of the ukulele, see Billy Eilish pic right.
