9am – 12 noon Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
With the European Football Championship kicking off later there’s a bit of a football theme on today’s show. Chris will be playing some of the best World Cup and Euros songs from previous years. Plus some great footballing jokes and clips from the funniest football press conferences. Chris’s guest on the phone is Tina Banyard who’ll be talking about her role as a celebrant. If you don’t know what a celebrant is you should tune in and find out. There’ll also be local news, more informative audios and music from artists beginning with the letter ‘E.’ Enjoy!
12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy
Pat and Chris will look back at last week’s classic races at Epsom, these being The Oaks and The Derby. Plus they’ll preview the weekends action from Sandown and York and will pick their selections for the Napster competition.
12.30pm – 1.30pm This Week with Penny
Penny catches up with Sarah Gardner (pic) who lives in Hungerford and runs the Action Through Enterprise charity in rural northern Ghana. Sarah explains how the covid lockdown has been really hard for the vulnerable community they support. Penny will also be chatting to Chris about what’s been happening in the Lambourn Valley during the past week
1.30pm - 2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt
Yet more Pop Quizzical questions to get stuck into with Popmeister Tim Stutt. With music that questions could range from ABBA to ZZ-Top there should be at least one you’ll know the answer to.
2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester
On Face2Face this week, Linda and Tim find out about the statue of the hanged monkey in Hartlepool, complete the Andrew Lloyd-Webber story, check out the history of the telegram and remember a very brave soldier who did not get the recognition he should have done.
