7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

The good news is that it’s warming up and the sun is rising earlier everyday. To get going in the morning, join Pete for two hours of music selected to start your day in the right mood. Plus, following the news at 8, Pete’s featured artist will be Neil Diamond. Don’t miss it!

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Joining Chris on the phone today is Kate Armitage from Berkshire Youth who will talk about their ‘Kickstart’ Scheme which is an exciting opportunity for young people claiming Universal Credit and at risk of long-
term unemployment. The scheme will provide them with valuable paid work experience for six months and employability skills to help them along their career path. Also there’s more informative audios, local news and great tunes. Enjoy!

11am – 12noon This Week with Penny

This week Penny talks to outdoor swimming specialist Jo from Newbury about how she started as a teenager, and how a lifelong love of swimming has led her to swim both the English and Bristol Channel. Looking towards the summer, and subject to any relaxation of local lockdowns, Jo shares some of her thoughts on finding swim spots and how to get started in local venues and rivers. If anyone is itching to get into some freezing water during lockdown please contact Jo first for some guidance first!

12noon - 12.45pm The Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan

With a lot of racing cancelled last weekend due to the weather there’s a feast of great sport on both Saturday and Sunday. Newbury’s postponed card from last Saturday has been re-scheduled to take place on Sunday with feature races The Betfair Denman Chase, The Betfair Game Spirit Chase and the valuable Betfair hurdle taking centre stage. Join Pat & Chris to hear their thoughts on what they think will win and what won’t.

12.45pm – 1.15pm On the Fence with Michael Quinn

On today’s show Michael will be discussing his personal experience leaving the familiar world of employment and venturing into freelancing and the difficulties this created 

1.15pm – 2.15pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt

It’s another hour of the popular fortnightly pop quiz that tests people’s music knowledge. There’s always some great music regardless of whether you know the answers to the questions with lots of tunes from the past and the present

2.15pm - 3.15pm The 4LEGS Gardening Show with Linda & Jane

On this month’s Gardening Show, Linda and Jane don their gardening gloves to check out the tasks needed to get their gardens flourishing again. Subjects include pruning roses, planting lilies and feeding garden birds. Find out also what their plant of the month is. 

3.15pm - 5.15pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On Face2Face this week, Linda and Tim search out an inspirational one eyed bat as well as a blind, bisexual goose, who stepfathered his partner’s cygnets. We line up brown sauce against tomato sauce and follow the contrasting tales of a 21 year old girl rowing the Atlantic and a 19 year old who was the first woman to swim the Channel. Among the music, we find out about the lady at the heart of all those hits by the Supremes.
