Ninety Two year old Former Royal Marine John Spencer Hall OBE talks to Chris about his life and his book ‘Battle for Crete’ , which has been recently republished and is an account of the German takeover of the Greek Island in WWII. John was appointed the OBE in 2011 for his services to business, charity and work with young people in London. Today’s other guest is Martin Colston, the leader of Newbury Town Council. Martin spoke to Chris earlier in the week about a survey that’s been launched by Newbury Town Council in conjunction with Berkshire Youth to ask the younger people in Newbury what matters to them, what effects them plus their ideas and opinions to influence future activities, events and opportunities in and around Newbury. Plus there’s the usual round of local news, informative audios and great tunes. Enjoy!
