So here’s Friday’s Fabulous 4LEGS Radio schedule. Enjoy!
7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show
Get the last day of the working week going with two hours of music selected to brighten the start of your day. This week’s featured artist, following the news at eight, is Bob Marley (pic). Don’t miss it!
9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
Chris will be getting the fortnightly Trindledown news and events update from Ellie Humphrey’s. And there’s a report from Hungerford Town FC’s first league game of the season on Tuesday night against Chippenham Town, including an interview with the Hungerford Manager Danny Robinson (pic). Plus there’ll be local news, informative audios and some great tunes. Enjoy!
11am – 12noon This Week with Penny
Aimee Wallis (pic) from Corvid Dawn Bird Sanctuary is Penny’s this week and will be updating listeners on their exciting move to a new, permanent premises and the pressure they are under with a waiting list of birds that were rescued by well meaning people during lockdown and now need to be returned to the wild.
12noon – 12.30pm The Downland Racing Show with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan
Pat and Chris will look back at last Sunday’s Prix de L’Arc De Triomphe and some of the other key races at Longchamp. It’s a busy Saturday in the UK with the Group 1 Darley Dewhirst stakes and the marathon that is the Cesarewitch handicap over 2.2 miles the feature races at Newmarket. Hopefully the 4LEGS racing pundits can find a winner or two.
12.30pm – 1.30pm Uploaded with Ellie Chelton and Charlie Brown
Uploaded is a new show for the 4LEGS younger audience that will be focusing on subjects that matter to them. Today new presenters Ellie (pic left) and Charlie (pic right) will be talking about Universities and how students have been coping over the past few weeks because of Covid-19 restrictions on campus, and hope to talk with a student from Exeter live on air. Plus they discuss the recent broadcasts and informative interviews by Sir David Attenborough on the subject of climate change and the dangers of losing some of the world’s wildlife.
1.30pm – 2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt
Another round of the popular fortnightly Pop Quizzical. This week’s music quiz was broadcast earlier in the year but I suspect you’ve forgotten the questions and answers by now. So why not give it another go to see if you can beat The Stuttmeister.
2.30pm – 4.30pm Pop Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester
On Face2Face this week, Tim and Linda investigate how not to be cowed by cows, look back at out of fashion hand signals and find out ten things you might not know about John Lennon. Plus lots more music, trivia and local news.
