What’s On 2020-08-21

So here’s Friday’s Fabulous 4LEGS Radio schedule. Enjoy!

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Brady Breakfast Show
The wet weather may be continuing so why not stay indoors and enjoy some of the best sounds around. Pete’s featured artist this week is Justin Bieber who, at the age of 26, has already sold more than 150 million records. Don’t miss it!

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
Chris’s guest on the phone this week is Greg Heath from the Lambourn Carnival Festival committee who’ll give an update on all of the events the committee have organised to take place towards the end of August.  You’ll also hear from Daniel Broadbank (pic) who’s the manager of Lambourn Sports FC who’ll be talking about his team’s prospects for the new season. Plus there’s informative audios, local news and in the second hour all the tunes will be of a psychedelia theme from the 1960’s.  Enjoy!

11am – 12noon This Week with Penny
Penny’s guest is Duncan Jones (pic) from Lambourn who’s the proprietor and chef from The Five Bells at Wickham. Duncan will be talking about the re-opening of the pub and how it’s been for both himself and his customers.

12noon – 12.30pm The Downland Racing Show with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter-Brennan
Pat and Chris look back at some of the big races at this week’s Ebor Festival and look ahead to the weekends action at the course including the Ebor handicap itself and whether Lambourn trained wonder sprinter Battaash can win the Nunthorpe Stakes for a third time on Friday.

12.30pm – 1.30pm Knock Knock with Suzi Carns
Another chance to listen to Suzi’s fascinating chat with Loretta Davis (pic) from the Basingstoke charity Spotlight UK, who have taken over the Lambourn Junction and will also be offering community support to teenagers. It is Spotlight’s intention in the near future to work with the existing volunteer system in the Valley and provide, sporting, creative arts and mental health and wellbeing support. Perhaps this is something really positive that could come out of the corona virus pandemic.

1.30pm – 2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt
A new set of Pop questions to get stuck into for an hour with the Pop Quizzical maestro Tim Stutt.

2.30pm – 4.30pm Face2Face with Linda & Tim Forrester
On Face2Face this week, Linda and Tim gather up a circus, tell the story of a Welsh dame, survey the latest national and local news and play plenty of great music.
