With pre-season training and friendly matches underway for our local football teams here’s the latest news for Hungerford Town FC and Lambourn Sports FC

Hungerford Town FC

New Manager Danny Robinson has made a great start in charge of The Crusaders with 3 victories and a draw so far in their pre-season friendly matches this month.  They beat The Swifts 4-0,  Highworth Town 2-1 and  Wimborne Town 5-0. Their latest game was a 1-1 draw against Brinscombe and Thrupp on Tuesday night. Here’s their next friendly fixtures:

 

Away at Swindon Super Marine FC on Saturday 15th August, kick-off 3pm

Away at Penybont FC on Saturday 22nd August, kick-off 2pm

Home to Salisbury FC on Saturday 29th August, kick-off 3pm

Lambourn Sports FC – First Team

In July Lambourn Sports FC appointed first team Manager Danial Broadbank (pic) with Sam Broadbank as Assistant Manager & Danial Sinclair as 1st Team player coach. They also brought a wealth of experience and a new squad of talented players with them. They’ve had 3 pre-season friendlies so far winning 2 and losing 1. They beat Marlborough Town 2-1 and Purton Redhouse FC 1-0 on Wednesday night. Their defeat came courtesy of Lambourn Sports Reserves when they lost 3-2.

*Home to Shrivenham Town Tuesday 18th August, kick-off 6.30pm

Away at Kintbury FC on Saturday 22nd August, kick-off 3pm

Home to Lambourn Sports Reserves  on Wednesday 25th August, kick-off 6.30pm

Home to Stratton FC on Saturday 29th August, kick-off 3pm

*After the game 4LEGS presenter Chris Capel will be interviewing first team Manager Danial Brockbank to talk about his appointment, the new squad of players, the teams prospects for the new season and his future aspirations. This interview will be broadcast on The Yabber Yabber show on Friday 21st August.

Lambourn Sports FC – Reserve Team

*Steve Harris continues as Manager of Lambourn Sports Reserves team and has high hopes for the new season. The Reserve team has played 4 pre-season friendlies so far winning 2 and losing 2. They beat Lambourn Sports First team 3-2 and Craig ADE Academy 4-2. They’ve lost to Marlborough Town 3-1 and Wantage Development 1-0.

Away at Faringdon FC on Saturday 15th August, kick-off 1pm

Away at Uffington FC on Tuesday 18th August, kick-off 6.45pm

Away at Kintbury FC on Saturday 22nd August, kick-off 1pm

Home to Wroughton FC on Saturday 29th August, kick-off 1pm
