With the Corona Virus now severely impacting our daily lives we will endeavour to keep you updated with the latest news and important information on the situation both nationally and locally. We’ll be talking to people about subjects that can help us continue with everyday life during this very difficult time.  There’s useful information about diets, mind control, well being and how to get practical support. We also encourage listeners to get in touch whilst we are broadcasting if they would like talk about anything they’d like to share or simply want a chat. So for example:

9am – 11.30am The Yabber Yabber Show with Chris Capel
Chris will be providing you with the up to date national and local information on the Corona Virus. He’d like to hear from anyone that has any interesting and useful ideas to share or if you simply want a chat. Plus it’s a good time to make a dedication to your loved ones by choosing a piece of music that will make them smile. There will of course as usual be a variety of music on offer

11.30am – 12.30pmn This Week with Penny
On today’s show Penny has some useful advice from Lambourn nutritionist Sam Sylvester (pic) on the diets and how/what to cook for yourself in these difficult times. Plus Confidence Coach Claire Doré (pic) shares her tips on “How to manage your Mind Palace in times of uncertainty. We have never been in this situation before, fear is a normal response in a crisis like this. However there is another way of thinking about this. Claire will share her perspective & ways to look at this in a different & more positive way. This will enable you to stay focused on what you can control, helping you feel better about yourself as a result of that impact the people around you in a positive way.

12.30 – 1.30pm Knock Knock with Suzi Cairns
Suzi has had some short chats with people from the community who can off well being and practical support. The first chat on today’s show is with Lambourn psychologist Linda K.Berkley (pic right) who informs us of the best way to look after our mental health as the Covid-19 pandemic gives rise to panic and fear. The second is with Helen Noll (pic left) about the volunteer system she and 30 volunteers are implementing in Lambourn to help residents who are self-isolating because of the corona virus pandemic.

1.30pm – 2.30pm The 4LEGS Gardening Show
On the Gardening Show this week, Linda and Jane are celebrating the emergence of spring colour in their gardens. They will be selecting their plant of the month and are going to talk about small patch gardening, what’s looking good and how to choose colour.

 

 

2.30pm – 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim and Linda Forrester
Face2Face will be fronted by Tim and Linda this week.  They will be featuring plenty of music and chat, trying to make sense of the changing world around us and to find some helpful advice, whether local or national. As ever, they will also be searching out some stories to bring light relief.  They also hope to have reports from Pat Heslop and from a young doctor at the coal face. There will be plenty of music, ranging from Jake Bugg to Edith Piaf and Gordon Lightfoot and they will continue our feature on the life and music of Tchaikovsky (pic).
