Here’s our broadcasting schedule for tomorrow Friday 29th November.
Start your day with the ever popular breakfast show and then listen to a young BBC Radio producer tell us how he made it in the media world and learn from an IT expert how to improve the performance of your computer. There’s more racing news as the National hunt season gets into top gear and staying with the racing theme there’s an interview with one of the very few female trainers in the Lambourn Valley. There’s more Pop-tastic quiz questions to answer and there’s an in-depth interview with our very own Pete Brady about his time with BBC Radio One, Radio London and as a TV presenter. He’ll also talk about his work with a cancer charity.
Friday’s Schedule is as follows :
7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show
The weather forecast is looking brighter for this Friday. That may change but you can be sure of a bright start to the day with the music featured on the Breakfast Show. Plus, the featured artist this week is Taylor Swift who made a clean sweep at last Sunday’s American Music Awards.

9am – 12noon Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
A three hour show this week. Chris’s first guest is young radio producer Thomas Weller (pic below). He’ll be chatting about his career in the media, the path he took to get there and what advice he can give to others that are hoping to have a future in Radio. Also 4LEGS resident IT expert Rob Johnson (pic left) will tell inform us of ways to improve slow computers without having to throw them out and buy new. Plus there’ll be news of local events and a mixed bag of music from the archives.
12noon – 12.30pm The Downland Racing Show with Pat Murphy
Another week in the world of horse racing and no doubt Pat will share the highlights. Plus it’s the Ladbroke’s Carnival weekend at Newbury which stages their most valuable race of the National Hunt season, The Ladbrokes Trophy Handicap Chase. Can Pat find you the winner of this big race? Tune in for his top tip.
12.30pm – 1.30pm Knock Knock with Suzi Cairns
Another chance to listen to Suzi’s interview with local racehorse trainer Jo Davis (pic) and hear her convoluted journey to the Lambourn Valley.

1.30pm – 2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt
The fortnightly popular pop-tastic music quiz returns with more great questions, more great music relayed by 4 LEGS entertaining Pop Master Tim Stutt. Always great fun.
2.30pm – 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim Forrester and Pat Heslop
Tim welcomes back Pat from her holiday break. Their guest is Pete Brady (pic), 4LEGS DJ celebrity who will talk about his pioneering days on Radio London, Radio One and Magpie as well as his experience with cancer of the throat and kidney. Nowadays Pete devotes a lot of time to helping others with head and neck cancer and we will be finding out more. Plus all the usual features including a look at the BBC Home service radio schedule on this day 55 years ago.
