There’s another full schedule on 4 LEGS Radio this Friday (20th).
There’s chats about life as a national DJ, starting a local cafe, the battle for climate change and working with our local surgery.
We have all the news from the local stables, an interactive pop quiz and lots of good music, including a look back at the best of Neil Diamond.
Friday’s Schedule is as follows :
8am – 10.30am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show
Once again, Pete will be kicking things off, this time with an extra half hour of great sounds provided by the bands and artists that have topped the charts since the 60s.
You can also have a listen to some of the hit songs written and, in most cases performed by Neil Diamond.
10.30 am -12 noon This Week with Penny
Penny and Brian will first be chatting to former Radio 1 (and current 4 LEGS) DJ Pete Brady about his life in front of the mic. From about 11am they’ll be joined by Danielle Hartnett and Jamie Goode who opened Goodies Café in Lambourn during the summer and finding out how things have been going and what their plans are for the future.
Later in the show they’ll be hoping to talk to some of those taking part in the latest strike for climate change, which will be taking place in Newbury. Plus the usual round up and news stories from the area (and perhaps further afield) and some great music.
12noon – 12.30pm The Downland Racing Show with Pat Murphy.
Join Pat Murphy for more news and hard hitting opinions on the racing world plus some tips on the best bets over the weekend.
12.30pm – 1.30pm Knock Knock with Suzi Cairns
Another chance to listen to Suzi’s interview with Upper Lambourn resident Sharon Turner(pic) about life in the Lambourn Valley as the Mother of Quads
1.30 -2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt
Tim is back with another hour of his pop quiz. Find out how good your pop knowledge is and get points for your correct answers.
The music will range across the decades. See how well you can do.
2.30pm – 4.30pm Face2Face with Pat Heslop and Tim Stutt
Pat and Tim are fronting Face2Face this week and will undoubtedly ensure a lively and fun filled two hours. Their guest is Geoff Fowler, Chairman of the Patients’ Participation Group at Lamborne Surgery. Find out how this local Group works, what their role is and how the rest of us can get involved. Geoff is well travelled and has lived in some fascinating places during his Energy based career.
Plus the usual mix of local events, stories and wide ranging music.
