The Bank Holiday weekend’s weather is looking pretty good and Pete aims to set you up for it with 2 hours of great music from 8am – 10am. His featured artist at 9am is Prince, who sold over 1,000,000 records worldwide before his untimely death in 2016.
Pete will also be playing memorable hits from recording stars like Alison Moyet, Joe Cocker, The Steve Miller Band, Art of Noise, The Eurythmics, Eric Clapton and Dido.

10am – 11am Yabber Yabber Show with Chris Capel
Chris is interviewing Kate Sloan (pic) singer, songwriter and music producer and will be playing some of her own compositions. Also the Lambourn Carnival Horse show is taking place on September 1st and organiser Kim Hughes has been chatting to Chris about the event.
11am – 12 noon This Week with Penny
This Week Penny’s guest will be Dr Deepak Ravindran from the Department of Pain Medicine at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and Director of the Berkshire Pain Clinic. Deepak will be talking about the methods he uses to help people with chronic and acute pain such as spine pain, migraines, fibromyalgia and nerve injury pain.
12noon – 12.30pm The Downland Racing Show with Chris Capel
With Pat Murphy away this week Chris will be looking back at the first 2 days of the York Ebor festival and previewing the remaining 2 days with the emphasis on Europe’s richest handicap The Ebor which takes place on Saturday.

2.30pm – 4.30pm Face2Face with Pat Heslop and Tim Forrester.
Pat and Tim’s guest on Face2Face this week is Joshua Khan (pic), new owner of The Swan at Great Shefford. With the pub surrounded by scaffolding and about to be given a new name, we have the chance to chat with Joshua, find out all about him and quiz him on his ambitious plans for the new pub. If any listeners have specific questions, send them in and we will be pleased to put them to Joshua. He has chosen some favourite music too so there will be the usual wide mix of music.
4.30pm – 5.30pm Fizz Friday with Jonny Welch
Fizz Friday continues with Jonny and ‘Biscuit’. There will be plenty of banter on local issues and regular features such as ‘Funny Old World’ and ‘Desert Island Dicks’ plus chatting in the studio will be local metal sculptor Dadey Diccon (pic)
