BROADCASTING STARTS AT THE NORMAL TIME OF 9AM THIS FRIDAY 18TH JANUARY
We kick off with the breakfast show and learn how someone has been living with multiple sclerosis since 2014 and their involvement with the Lambourn branch of Riding for the Disabled. Also you can listen to someone who’s passionate about flying, and find out about Young Enterprise business and enterprise education charity that works with local young people. There’s chat with both a musical instrument maker and a fundraising manager for a company that produces books for the visually impaired and the blind. Join Pete for the breakfast show. As well as great music Pete’s guest is Jo Fielder from Shefford Woodlands who has been living with multiple sclerosis since 2014 . Jo talks about MS and, in particular, her involvement with the Lambourn branch of Riding for the Disabled and what it means to her.
10am – 12noon This Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel –
Chris’s guest is Keith Miller who’s passionate about flying. From model aircraft and drones to the real thing Keith has flown them all. So for anyone interested in taking up flying as a hobby listen to Keith who’s enthusiasm on the subject has no bounds.
11am – 12noon This Week with Penny with Penny Locke –
Penny is joined by Alison Collington, project manager for Young Enterprise business and enterprise education charity that works with local young people age 5 – 25. Alison is also passionate about supporting The Watermill Theatre and breaking down stigmas about mental health.
2noon – 12.30pm The Downland Racing Show with Pat Murphy –
Pat will take a look back at this week’s news and talking points in the world of racing plus a look ahead to the weekends action.
12.30pm – 1.30pm The World according To Ed with Ed Pownall –
Ed’s back from his hols and will be sharing some of the amusing stories of the week both locally and nationally. I wonder if he’ll mention BREXIT in anyway shape or form?
1.30pm – 2.30pm ‘Pop Quizzical’ with Tim Stutt –
It’s great to welcome Tim back for his entertaining Pop Quiz. If you think you know everything about pop music then pit your wits against our Tim.
2.30pm – 4.30pm The Forrester and Allen Show with Tim Forrester and Paul Allen –
Tim and Paul’s first guest is Philip Brown, who’s a musical instrument maker or, to be exact, an English violin and bow maker in Newbury.
He set up his own football and tennis teams so he could get a game and he has played in a rock group called Nine Mile Ride.
Their second guest is Louise James, fundraising manager for Living Paintings, who publish unique Touch to See books for blind and visually impaired people across the country. This year is their 30th anniversary.
