What’s on 4LEGS Radio Friday, 14th June


On 4 Legs Radio this Friday we’ll be talking to an Eastbury resident who’s become chairman of a local semi-pro football team. There’s an update on the ‘Holiday at Home’ event in Lambourn during August. We’ll also be interviewing a senior manager from a classic car company and a doctor who divides his time as a historian and founder of a Heart defibrillator company. There’s the usual local racing news which will focus on Royal Ascot chapter eight in Pete Brady’s series on Sir Cliff Richard.

11.30am – 12.30pm  This Week with Penny

Penny’s guest this week is Karen Frost (pic) who will be updating us on plans for the Holiday at Home event in Lambourn in August for elderly residents who can’t get away this summer. Karen is Pastoral Development Worker for Hungerford, Lambourn, Newbury & Thatcham Methodist Churches and is coordinating this project with Lambourn Churches and East Garston Quakers.






12.30pm – 1pm  The Downland Racing Show with Pat Murphy

Pat looks back at the last week in racing and the impact the rain has had plus looks forward to next week’s prestigious Royal Ascot meeting

Chris will highlight some of the activities and events happening in our local area over the coming days

1.30pm – 2.30pm  Knock Knock with Suzi Cairns

2.30pm – 4.30pm  Face2Face with Tim Forrester and Pat Heslop

This week on Face2Face Pat and Tim have two special guests.

First up is Durran Heslop, who has 30 years of experience in the automative industry and is now a senior manager in Jensen International, who provide exacting traditional restorations to classic cars. He will be explaining what is involved in bespoke restorations and casting an eye forward to suggest how the car market of the future may evolve. Their second guest is Dr Nick Young, (pic) electronic engineer, IT and web design consultant, founder of Heartstart Thatcham, author, lecturer and local historian. He will be explaining how he combines all these things and focussing on his role with Heartstart and the importance of defibrillators in saving lives.
